This is a 19 y.o. male 5′ 5″ and 168 lb who underwent male breast reduction surgery for adolescent gynecomastia. He is seen 2 months after surgery.

Case Description:

This is a 29-year- old male from Folsom, California, who presents with adolescent gynecomastia and presents for surgical correction. His overall goal is to feel comfortable in his clothes and to take off his shirt in public. He underwent male breast reduction surgery at Marin Cosmetic Surgery Center in Marin County. He had 76 grams removed from his right chest and 62 grams removed from his left chest. His photographs are seen approximately four months after surgery.

This 37-year-old man suffers from adolescent gynecomastia, and prior to surgery was embarrassed to wear a T-shirt or take off his shirt in public. He underwent glandular excision and suction-assisted lipectomy of the chest. Total fat extraction was 500 cc from the right side and 400cc from the left. Total glandular tissue removed was 37 grams from the right side and 42 grams from the left.

He has had severe male breast enlargement for the past six years. He does not take off his shirt in public. He has tried to fit in socially but has been very afraid of rejection. His goal is to “have a normal chest”. He is 5’10”, 240 pounds. He underwent gland excision and chest liposuction. He had removal of 200 cc of fat from each side and 159 grams of breast tissue removed from his right side and 104 grams of tissue removed from his left side. His surgery was performed at Marin Cosmetic Surgery Center in Marin County, California. His photographs were taken 2 months after surgery. It was discussed that a secondary procedure will be helpful to tighten up the skin. He was happy with the outcome.

His condition has caused him extreme embarrassment in public. He underwent glandular excision and suction-assisted lipectomy of the chest, from which I removed a total of 600cc of fat bilaterally. A second stage procedure may be a possibility in the future, as it would greatly benefit this patient’s final result

Seattle, Washington – This is a 43 year old male who presents with adolescent gynecomastia and treated with gland excision and suction assisted lipectomy at the Novato, California office. His goal is to be less self-conscious about his chest and to obtain a more masculine looking chest. He is 6 feet tall and weighs 200 pounds. He underwent gynecomastia surgery at Marin Cosmetic Surgery Center. He had 30 grams of breast tissue removed from his right chest and 40 grams of breast tissue removed from his left chest. He also had 450 cc. of fat and aspirate removed from his left chest and 500 cc. of fat and aspirate from his right chest. He had an uneventful post op course. This 40-year-old man suffers from adolescent gynecomastia, which has caused him to be extremely introverted due to significant embarrassment of his chest. He underwent glandular excision, liposuction of the chest and axillae, and a superior lift. I removed a total of 250cc of fat from the right side of his chest and 300cc from the left side. His goal was to be “flat-chested and look better in shirts.”

San Francisco, California – This is a 24 year old male who presents with gynecomastia. His gynecomastia developed during his adolescent years. It became more obvious in his early 20’s and may have been due to some steroid use or marijuana use. His goal is to obtain removal of the fat that makes his nipples appear extremely large and to flatten his chest. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds. He had his surgery performed at Marin Cosmetic Surgery Center in Novato, California. He had 10 grams of breast tissue removed from his right chest and 10 grams of tissue removed from his left chest. He also had a small amount of liposuction performed. He had the pull-through procedure performed through a small incision with all gland removed and fat flaps rotated superior and inferior for a nice smooth contour. He had an uneventful post op course. His photographs are seen approximately four months after surgery.

He has had male breast enlargement since an early age of 15 years old and therefore adolescent gynecomastia. He did take steroids in the past for body building, which accelerated his gynecomastia. He had two bouts of steroids. He does not take off his shirt due to embarrassment and his goal is to obtain a flat chest and to be comfortable without his shirt. He underwent breast gland excision and liposuction of his abdomen and flanks. He had approximately 225 cc of fat extracted from each chest, 38 grams of breast tissue was removed from his right breast and 34 grams of tissue removed from his left breast. His surgery was performed at Marin Cosmetic Surgery Center in Marin County, California. His postoperative photographs were taken 5 months after surgery.
