Dr. Richard E. Albin

I received my BA in Philosophy from Cornell and MD degree from the Chicago Medical School and was elected to membership in AOA, the National Medical Honor Society for scholastic excellence. I earned my PhD in Cardiac Physiology at the University of Chicago where I also interned and served the first year of General Surgery Residency. I completed the final three years of General Surgery Residency at the Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, one of the four primary teaching hospitals of the Harvard Medical School. I followed this training as Surgeon-in-Chief at Loring Air Force Base.

After completing my Residency training in Plastic Surgery at the University of Virginia, I was appointed Chief of Plastic Surgery and Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado. During my tenure I spent time in Paris learning special Plastic Surgery techniques. I then established a private practice in Denver and now specialize in adult cosmetic surgery.

My continuing education includes formal instruction in Liposuction, advanced Rhinoplasty techniques, Laser surgery, Endoscopic Brow Lifts and Face Lifts and other areas of Cosmetic Surgery. I have taught several courses in various aspects of Plastic Surgery at national meetings. In addition to presenting papers at national and international meetings, I have been invited to sit on numerous panels to discuss controversial Plastic Surgery issues and have written chapters in Plastic Surgery textbooks.
